Spooky Black - Without U

Sneak peak of the music video I’m working on for the first track from my upcoming EP out late spring.

Bando Jones - Sex You

Pretty much the only song on the radio I fuck with currently. Very close to my ideal of modern R&B. Super killer bassline and I’m a sucker for watery samples.

I’m learning to program in Ruby because it’s super easy to datamosh videos with certain gems. Here’s a gif I made of the first few seconds of the music video for Cocoon by Wing Dam. The eventual goal is to make music videos for all the songs from my upcoming EP which I just started recording this weekend.

premiere: WING DAM - Cocoon

I’ve been keen on these guys from the always vibrant scene in Baltimore for a while now, and while they’re working hard on some new material, they’ve just let lose this awesome VHS-artifact music video by Nicholas Hoegberg.

Deeper listening on Friends Records where you can also get a copy of their Thick Phase / No Splash EP on cassette.

My dudes. Stay rockin the floral printce shirt.

Gil Scott-Heron & Jamie xx - The Crutch (Instrumental)

Don’t usually fuck with The xx or Jamie but this jaunt is smooth oldschool meets newschool vibes.

Marcel du Swamp May 2013

Baltimore’s own Chris Shields, aka Marcel du Swamp, just released a killer tape on Ehse Records called Exact Cover Problem. Went to the tape release show last night at The Bank in West Baltimore which was absurd. Gratuitous nudity, excessive consumption, and tape decks galore. I picked up a copy of the tape (2nd edition of 50) at the show, but you can cop a digital download for (name your own price) over at http://www.ehserecords.com/mp3s_donation_tape.php?releaseid=308&artistid=91

Radiator Greys, Unicorn Hard On, and Form A Log were all killer as well.

Wume - EdgeCity

Caught this Chicago-based drum/electronic duo shred at The Crown last week. They opened for Horse Lords and Solar Motel Band but they definitely should have headlined. Plus the drummer is a total babe.

Death Grips - Lock Your Doors

Bill Withers - Use Me
